Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam! Holiday Dessert Party

Do you and your family love Christmas and the holiday season? Hollywood Studios is decked out for the holidays starting in the middle of November, making it nearly impossible to have a “sour” day at the park! Missed your Fastpass time slot or can’t wait in line? It doesn’t seem as big of a deal when Christmas music is playing and everyone is extra jolly, bringing you cheer from morning until night.

A special event that occurs during the holiday season is the Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam! holiday fireworks display. It happens up at the Chinese Theatre and is included with your admission tickets to the park.

A couple of the many dessert options at the party

If you would like to make the event extra special, take a look at the Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam! Holiday Dessert Party. This party is an additional cost, but I believe it is worth it. It includes a wonderful spread to indulge in before witnessing the “Santa-sized” spectacular from a reserved viewing area! I am a huge proponent of paying for reserved viewing areas at the Walt Disney World Resort. The nighttime events can get pretty crowded and feeling like a sardine is not something I strive for every night I am on vacation.

My mom and I chose to partake in the dessert party on our trip in November of 2019. The process was simple, we checked in at the podium (about 75 minutes before it started) where the actual party would be held – which was around Echo Lake. There were tons of tables set up and each registered family was given their own – how awesome! At check-in we received a lanyard displaying the dessert party in a fun graphic with our table number written on it. On the bottom of the lanyard, there was a tearaway ticket, we did not realize what it was for at first, but soon realized it was for an ornament with the show logo! Also, sitting on each table were pairs of “elf goggles” to wear during the display. They were so cute! when you wore them looking at the fireworks, it made the brightest point of each firework look like little gingerbread men – so cute!

Wearing our lanyards for the dessert party!

When it was time for the party to begin we headed back to Echo Lake where we were taken to our table. As soon as you sit down you are able to head up to the food/drink area. There are both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options to choose from. All the drinks had festive names which always gets me so excited – the Gingerbread martini was so good. They also had options for the kiddos that were so fun, including “Elf Juice.” As for the food there were both savory and sweet options. My favorite was the naan bread with the spinach and artichoke dip. The dessert tables were covered in treats – it was hard to not eat everything! But, what was really cool at the event, was they had a liquid nitrogen freeze fried milk chocolate mousse station. I am not typically a fan of mousse, but given the option to try it in a very unique way, I was intrigued. The cast member can top it with multiple different sauces and toppings as well.

We were given a time to meet Chip ‘n Dale in their holiday attire. I cannot say enough positive things about meeting characters at more “private” events. You tend to get longer interactions with more conversation and specifically with Chip ‘n Dale, more mischievous acts.

A view of the Chinese Theatre decked out for the holidays before the show started!

After you cannot fit anymore food/drink into your stomach and you meet your character friends, the party is escorted to the viewing area for the holiday display. The location for the viewing area was right at the front of the Chinese Theatre. We had so much space, it was so nice to not be squeezed in tight, and no one was in front of us so we had the perfect view! The whole event felt very organized with little to no chaos, and my mom and I agreed that we would definitely do the party again!
